Diana, Princess of wales memorial fountain
One of the popular tourists spot in London is The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain. Millions of people visit it very year. The fountain was designed to express Diana's spirit and love of children. The design aims to reflect Diana's life, water flows from the highest point in two directions as it cascades, swirls and bubbles before meeting in a calm pool at the bottom. The water is constantly being refreshed and is drawn from London's water table.
The Memorial also symbolizes Diana's quality and openness. It is located in the southwest corner of Hyde Park in London, just south of the Serpentine Lake and east of the Serpentine Gallery. Its cornerstone was laid in September 2003 and it was officially opened on 6 July 2004 by Queen Elizabeth II. Also present were Diana's younger brother Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, her ex-husband Prince Charles, and her sons William and Harry.
There are three bridges where visitors can cross the water and go straight to the heart of the fountain. Visitors can relax here for some time; they can feel as they are in home when they visit this special place.

Bicester Village

What do Princess Anne, Shilpa Shetty, Stella McCartney, Victoria and David Beckham, Helen Mirren, Ivana Trump, Liz Hurley, The Duchess of Kent, Jerry Hall, Cherie Blair and "Weakest Link" dominatrix Anne Robinson have in common?
They've all bagged a bit of a bargain at Bicester Village.
100 boutique designer outletsDiscount prices in more than 100 chic designer and brand name boutiques have been drawing thrifty fashionistas to Bicester Village, a designer brand outlet mall ten miles from Oxford, for years. They've kept this wonderful place - where everything is at least 30 to 50 per cent off normal prices - almost a secret.
But lately, visitors from Europe and the Far East, are finding their way out from London - an hour away by train - to shop, before exploring nearby Oxford, the Cotswolds and other attractions of the region. They find last season's Diors, Ralph Laurens, Salvatore Ferragamos in a quiet and uncrowded villagey atmosphere.
Bicester Village bills itself as a place for luxury shopping in chic designer boutiques. But it's the savings that bring the customers. Even though goods aren't cheap by any measure, they are much cheaper than in the equivalent shops on Bond Street or Fifth Avenue
. And the selection of shops is impressive - ranging from some of the better UK high street brands to a stratosphere of genuine global designer brands.

All of the shops at Bicester Village offer at least 30 to 50 per cent off normal retail prices. But arrive at the change of the season, when shops are making room for next season's goods and savings of 70 to 90 per cent are not unheard of. I bought a skirt from a hugely famous designer that was reduced from £105 to £7.

London Bridge
One of the famous spot for tourist is the London Bridge .It is a bridge between the City of London and Southward in London, England, over the River Thames. Situated between Cannon Street Railway Bridge and Tower Bridge, it forms the western end of the Pool of London. On the south side of the bridge are Southward Cathedral and London Bridge station; on the north side are the Monument to the Great Fire of London and Monument tube station. Tourists can almost have an entire view of the city of the London. The night view of city of London from the bridge is also very fascinating. Thousands of visitors visit these attractions. Tourists travelling to London do not miss the chance of visiting the city of London. Without the sightseeing of London national and landmark icons tourists’ trip will be incomplete.
It was the only bridge over the Thames downstream from Kingston until Putney Bridge opened in 1729. The current bridge opened on 17 March 1973.
The bridge carries part of the A3 road, which is maintained by the Greater London Authority; the bridge itself is owned and maintained by the Bridge House Estates an independent charity overseen by the City of London Corporation.
Tower Bridge is often mistakenly referred to as "London Bridge”. The area between London Bridge and Tower Bridge on the south side of the Thames is a Business Improvement District (BID) and is managed by Team London Bridge.

Buckingham Palace
Another famous tourist attraction of London is the Buckingham Palace which is the official Residence of Queen. Thousands of people visit every year to have a view of the palace. They are very keen and eager of having a view of the palace. It is the most famous and easily recognized by anyone because of its building.
The Palace is a working building and the centerpiece of Britain's constitutional kingdom. It houses the offices of those who support the day-to-day activities and duties of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh and their immediate family. The Palace is also the venue for great Royal ceremonies, State Visits and Investitures, all of which are organized by the Royal Household.
Although Buckingham Palace is furnished and decorated with priceless works of art that form part of the Royal collection, one of the major art collections in the world today, it is not an art gallery and nor is it a museum. Its State Rooms form the nucleus of the working Palace and are used regularly by The Queen and members of the Royal family for official and State entertaining. Buckingham Palace is one of the world's most familiar buildings and more than 50,000 people visit the Palace each year as guests to banquets, lunches, dinners, receptions and the Royal Garden Parties.
Visitors are allowed access by and organized tour to some areas of the Palace
During the summer, the Changing of the Guard takes place at the front of the Palace and is a popular event for visitors to the capital from 1st April to Early July and on alternate days at other times.
Since 1660, Household Troops have guarded the Sovereign and the Royal Palaces. The Queen's Guard usually consists of Foot Guards in full-dress uniform of red tunics and bearskins.
The Changing of the Guard takes place in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace at 11.30 every day in summer, every other day in winter, and lasts about 45 minutes. The New Guard marches to the Palace from Wellington Barracks with a Guards band, the Old Guard hands over in a ceremony during which the sentries are changed and then returns to barracks. The New Guard then marches to St James's Palace leaving the detachment at Buckingham Palace.

Big Ben In London
One of the best known landmarks of London is Big Ben (Palace of Westminster). The name Big Ben actually refers not to the clock-tower itself, but to the thirteen ton bell hung within. The four dials of the clock are 23 feet square, the minute hand is 14 feet long and the figures are 2 feet high. Minutely regulated with a stack of coins placed on the huge pendulum, Big Ben is an excellent timekeeper, which has rarely stopped. There are even cells within the clock tower where Members of Parliament can be imprisoned for a breach of parliamentary privilege, though this is rare; the last recorded case was in 1880.The tower is not open to the general public, but those with a "special interest" may arrange a visit to the top of the Clock Tower through their local (UK) MP.
This is the world's largest four-faced, chiming clock and the third largest free-standing clock tower in the world. It celebrates its 150th birthday in 2009, during which celebratory events are planned.
Tourists come to these attractions for sure because Big Ben is also famous at New Year time. Millions of people gather around the tower and as the clock struck 12 celebration starts. All the fireworks and song starts. Everyone wish each other for the New Year. Londoners who live an appropriate distance from the Clock Tower and Big Ben can, by means of listening to the chimes both live and on the radio or television, hear the bell strike thirteen times on New Year's Eve. Similarly, on Remembrance Day, the chimes of Big Ben are broadcast to mark the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month and the start of two minutes' silence.
The night view of the Clock tower is also very fascinating with a view of London eye in its background makes it more beautiful. Tourists must not miss the night view. The light of the tower makes it more prominent and beautiful. The clock has become a symbol of the United Kingdom.

Windsor Castle
Tourists who planned to spend their vacations in London but they do not where to go, where to start their tour might create certain problems. If they do not find a way to get to these attractions it can spoil their trip. Main thing is that they get a perfect start where they can enjoy and have fun. Tourists who are travelling in planes and who enjoy their every moment they are use to looking down the windows. Windsor Castle is one of the tourist attractions which can be seen even if they are at heights. Looking down from a plane circling Heathrow, the crenulated towers of Windsor Castle are often the first sight of the UK a visitor gets. They are unmistakable.
Second thing is when you have decided to visit Windsor castle you must know how to get there? Windsor is an easy train journey from London. The castle, a short walk from the station, lead the town. Windsor Castle is one of the biggest castles in the world. The building itself (not including grounds) covers 13 acres .William the Conqueror picked the site, west of London overlooking the Thames and it has been a Royal residence and fortress ever since - almost 950 years. The Queen still spends most weekends there and, we've heard it is her favorite "home from home".
You can easily spend a whole day visiting. Expect to see:
•The State Apartments Very grand, ceremonial rooms
•The Semi State Rooms Because they either overlook the Queen's private apartments, or they are in use for annual ceremonial events, these rooms are not always open.
•Art treasures from the Royal collection Imagine having family portraits by Holbein, Rubens and Van Dyke.
•St. George's Chapel Where 10 sovereigns and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor are buried.
•Queen Mary's Doll House An amazing collection of tiny works of art, book and music manuscripts that is always popular with visitors.
Because Windsor is a working castle, with many ceremonial events, the schedule of openings and the price of tickets is a bit complicated. Best check the Windsor Castle website for the latest information. Even at the full price of £14.50, tickets to Windsor Castle are a great deal. Register when you buy one and you can re-enter the castle an unlimited number of times for a whole year.

It is one of the famous tourist’s attractions of families. Madam tussads is a place where you can find many statues of wax that look almost real. The Wax museum is divided into four themed sections each featuring an array of exhibits, interactive experiences and wax figures.
History
Marie Tussaud (1761-1850), a native of Strasbourg, France, learned the fine art of sculpting from her mother’s employer, a physician skilled in the art of wax modeling. The doctor, Philippe Curtius, was one of the first to display such works of art, opening an exhibition in 1776. Young Marie made her first sculpture at the tender age of 16, fashioning a likeness of French enlightenment writer, Francois Voltaire.
Her first solo exhibit appeared on Baker Street in 1835 followed by her famous Chamber of Horrors collection in 1845, where Madame Tussaud displayed a collection of death masks that she had made of the victims of the guillotine during the French Revolution in Paris. In the meantime, she added many likenesses to her collection. In 1884, several decades after her death, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum moved to its current location on London’s Marylebone Road, where millions have stood on queue for hours to get a glimpse at her work and that of her successors.
The current museum suffered a fire in 1925 and many statues were lost. However, the molds remained intact and several of the pieces were recreated. It is now one of London’s busiest attractions and during peak tourist season, it is common to encounter long lines that stretch for blocks. The museum started an overseas expansion in 1970, when it opened a branch location in Amsterdam. Today it has expanded to many more cities including Las Vegas, New York City, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, with a Washington DC location opening in fall 2007 and another scheduled for Hollywood.
